Just a small note from our Treasurer...
Since the past fiscal year for Pacifica Women of the ELCA ended January 31, 2010, I would like to report how well we did this past year. I would personally like to THANK all those Congregational Units that provided support so that we can keep pace with our budget. In reference to our Benevolence giving, the highlight is that We (Pacifica WELCA) have contributed $9457.23 (50%) of our Unit Offerings, of cluster events, of March and November events in 2009 to the Churchwide Organization-Women of the ELCA which is in Chicago. This enables them to support their churchwide ministries.
For all this I offer a prayer:
Almighty God:
you give seed for us to sow,
and bread for us to eat;
make us thankful for what we have received;
make us rich to do those generous things
which supply your people’s needs;
so all the world may give you thanks and glory.
Amen.
May we continue to ACT BOLDLY in 2010.

Spring Gathering Schedule for the day
8am to 9am: Registration and Continental Breakfast
9am to 9:15am: Opening Devotion
9:15am to 10:45am: Bible Study with Pastor Judi Miller
10:45am to 11:30am: Assemble Love Gift boxes for our military
11:30am to 12:30pm: Lunch / Fellowship provided by Apple Spice Junction
12:30pm to 2:30pm: Called to Love as God Loves...Unconditionally
2:30pm to 4pm: Worship led by Pastor Karen Marohn
Please bring a “Healthy Recipe” to share. We will be creating a electronic cookbook on our website.
God made friends because stories, dreams, and prayers are meant to be shared. God made friends to remind us to laugh a lot and be really silly sometimes. God made friends to help us feel loved and accepted just the way we are.
I thank God every day for the gift of Friendships, especially yours.
